We slept in a little bit this morning.. We didn't get in bed till after 5:00 am and then we still stayed up talking after that... Before we left - Denise, Heather and I had a little cry listening to one of the songs Heather is playing in her Wedding today... Heather was quick to tell us to straighten up! Denise and I left to go get Programs printed and we had a few other errands to run as well... Very busy day today... David met me in Rivergate to get the boy's hair cut and then we grabbed a bite to eat and he took the boys back to Granny's house to get them ready... Denise and I continued to finish our errands and then we headed to the church to get ready. Thanks Denise!!!

Rehearsal Day...

Today was very busy... David, Jackson and I got up and got ready... We went to lunch at Taco Bell and then off to the church for a full day of helping decorate and whatever else that needed to be done. We were at the church all day long... I had to leave around 2:20 pm to pick up Dawson from school and then we went home to get ready for the rehearsal dinner. I'm not sure if anyone took any pictures of this event.. I sure didn't get any..

We had a family picture taken tonight before rehearsal started, so I will post that here... I don't like posts without pictures for some reason....

After the rehearsal dinner, there was still lots left to do... Denise, Brooke, Aulaura and I had to make a Walmart run and that's where Brooke and Aulaura talked Denise and I into trying a Red Bull... We needed something to give us some energy... It worked! It really worked! Poor Brooke got a ticket on our way back to the church... We will never forget that... haha... We stayed at the church until 5:00 am Saturday morning and then we went to the Hotel Heather rented for us... Heather was awake when we got there and we talked for a while and then finally we all fell asleep... Fun times.... Have I mentioned I'm so ready and excited about vacation! Woohoo..

I took off a couple of hours this morning so David and I could take the boys to breakfast and take Dawson to school.... Today was a half day of school for Dawson, so he was excited about that! We had a little bit of a rough time this morning with Dawson.... I think he was mostly worried about starting Middle School and not sure what to expect... He has to know everything about everything and when he doesn't, he can't handle it.... He was unsure of a few things and it was things I could ask when we got to school, but he worried about it Sunday evening and all morning long... Poor little guy... I felt so sorry for him and it just broke my heart because I wanted to make it all better for him and I didn't want him to worry about anything but no matter what I said he was going to worry anyway....

We got to school found out what he needed to know and he was fine... He asked me if I would stay with him but I told him I had to go back to work and he was fine.... I went back at 11:45 pm to pick him up and he was all SMILES! He had a great day and he likes his school and his teacher and he has some friends in his class that were in his class last year and life is GOOD! Yay! This is going to be a great year!

Heather's Wedding Shower was today at 11:00 am... Wow... I cannot believe I attended my sister's wedding shower... I cannot believe she is old enough to be getting married... Time flies! No time for tears today... Nope... Just smiles... I'm so proud of Heather and she has chosen a fine guy to share her life with and I'm very excited for them and for what the future holds for them!

We had a wonderful Camp Meeting this year! Enjoyed it... One of the highlights was Heather came and stayed with us at night! It was good to have her around and see her!

A little funny about Jackson... Jackson found a "girlfriend" and they were so cute... Her name is LoriAnne but Jackson said he didn't like her name and he said "I call her Alore..." He told me "she has yellow hair like I do." He told me "he kissed her during church too.." He asked her to meet her daddy and she took Jackson to her daddy and said "daddy, this is Jackson Batson and he's my boyfriend and he looks just like you in suspenders." They were so funny... I was dying... She told him when she was leaving "Jackson, I will miss you and I love you and you are my boyfriend.." =) He's only 4 and she's 5... Ugh... It's already starting... =)

We had Dawson's birthday party at a park in Ashland City this evening.... Dawson has been wanting to play a baseball game as a part of his party and has been asking to do this for months now.... So he got just that! We had a great time with friends and family! We had pizza for dinner and then birthday cake that was to die for! Dawson opened his presents and then he got to play a baseball game with all his friends! Zachary and Brayden came home with Dawson for a sleep over! What a great night!

Last day of Drama Conference - we had a few classes this morning and then we headed to eat lunch.... We ate Olive Garden on our way out of town and ran over to the mall that is behind Olive Garden and then we headed home... We got back to the church around 6:00 pm or so and then David met us at the church and David, Dawson, Jackson, John, Miquela, Brayden, Denise and I ran to eat dinner and then to get yogurt at a new place John and Denise found! We had a wonderful time at conference and then just being with good friends too! =) It was good to get away for a couple of days - it was much needed, but I was glad to get home and see my husband and boys!

Today was filled with classes... Lisa Davis isn't here this year, so that's kind of a bummer, but it is still a good conference... There's not as many people here this year either... We ran to Arby's at lunch time and went back to our room to eat lunch and then it was back to church until almost 5:00 pm and then we rushed to the room to get ready and then back to church and we performed tonight.. We actually performed last night as well... After another great service, we went back to our hotel and then we walked over to Denny's to eat... We were suppose to have all the girls over to hang out in our room for a while and they still came, but I was out as soon as my head hit the pillow, so I don't remember anything... I'm missing my hubby and boys tonight...

We left for Drama Conference this morning... We stopped at McDonalds and ate breakfast... We arrived in Indiana and checked in our hotel and then we went to the church and checked in. We went back to the hotel and got ready for church... Tonight was awesome! Awesome church! We went to Denny's and ate after church.... Denise and I have June and Sha staying in our room again this year! What a fun day and night...

Roz is our new doggie... She is a little over a year old and she's cute as a button... However, she is still a puppy... and she chews on everything..... I really didn't want another dog, but David and the kids wanted to keep her really bad and so we have two dogs instead of one dog.... She loves to play football, basketball, baseball... Pretty much anything that involves a ball she loves... She jumps in the tub everytime the water is turned on... She loves water... She's sweet too... We've had her since July 4, 2009...

Tornado in Ashland City...

We had a TORNADO in Ashland City a few weeks ago... The kids were outside playing on the trampoline and our electricity went out... I was sitting at my desk and I turned around to look outside and I noticed the trees were doubling in half and they were going back and forth violently... I jumped up and ran to the door and yelled for the kids to get inside and they could hardly stand up... They thought it was sooo funny that they couldn't stand up because the wind was sooo strong.... They rushed inside.... After things calmed down and it seemed whatever was happening was over with, we went to see what was going on and we found lots of damage ... I just snapped a few shots of some of the damage...

Some friends of ours taught a Bible Study today for 2 girls that has just started coming to church recently... As soon as Stephen and Joy were done teaching, Stephen talked a few minutes more and had prayer with those two young ladies and then he said "Do you want the Holy Ghost?" and one of them responded "yes" and he said "let's go into the Sanctuary and have prayer", within just a minute or two, she was speaking in tongues... Stephen had the great pleasure of getting to baptize her in the Name of JESUS!!! What an AWESOME day!!! This is what it's all about, folks! God is soooo very good to us!

We usually go to World Baptist Center and watch Fireworks around 9:00 pm, but this year we didn't go because it started storming about an hour before we were suppose to leave... We watched Fireworks on TV instead... We had a great time and we made some great memories!!!!

After everyone left I sat down with Jenni, Heather, and Mom to work on wedding stuff with Heather....

David and I got ready and went to CHICK-FIL-A with Mom, Jenni, Chuck, Eli, Ava, Aidan... We didn't know how to act without kids.... We missed our boys but we really enjoyed having a few days with just each other...

We went over to the mall and walked around a little while and then David and I went to eat with a good friend of ours for her birthday at Demos'.... We had a wonderful time!!!! Happy Birthday, Denise!!!!

We started Painting Dawson's room tonight... Dawson and Jackson each painted quite a bit of the first coat and they did a very good job! I was very excited to get his room painted and see the finished result... I started painting on Tuesday night and finished on Thursday afternoon.... I painted 3 walls khaki and David painted one wall Titan Blue (darker blue)... I'm really pleased with the results... Dawson loves his room and that makes me very happy!!!! I've got to go and find a few frames for his Titan's Memorabilia that he wants to display!

We attended Dawson's school play tonight... He did really well! I'm so proud of him for all his hard work this year! =) He is leaving elementary school behind... boo hoo... On one hand I'm excited for him to move on =), but on the other hand I'm very sad =( ... As his play was going on tonight, I was thinking to myself this is the last play he will ever be a part of in elementary school... Wwwwwaaahhhhh....

We have a great family and wonderful friends who came out to support him tonight! Thanks for taking time out of your busy schedules to come! Thanks to Aunt Tammy for taking pictures and putting them on a disk for me too! My mom was working so she couldn't be there... We ended the night with dinner at Don Pancho's and we really should have went somewhere else... Yuck. =)

Happy Birthday to David!!!! I took off work early today and we had a family birthday dinner at J. Alexanders... Yummo! J. Alexanders is one of David's favorite places to eat! My sister's boyfriend (fiance now) asked her to marry him at Spring Conference tonight.... It was soooo sweet... Denise was crying and I was up snapping pictures trying to get some good ones, but they are all dark... Ugh... Stephen was so nervous and Heather had no clue.... It was great! Heather took Denise and I by their new house so we could see it.... It's really cute and I love the "huge" living room... Congrats to Stephen and Heather... We absolutely love Stephen, so we couldn't be happier! The wedding is September 12, 2009....

My boy is growing up... He is ordering from the adult menu now... UGH... His first adult meal was when we were on our way to Chuck and Jenni's a few weeks ago... We stopped at Chick-fil-a and he wanted a 12 piece meal and I said let's try the 8 piece first... Well, he ate the 8 piece and wanted more so I gave him a few of my nuggets.... We celebrated Eli's birthday today by going to the Zoo. It was the perfect day to go, it was gorgeous outside with just enough wind blowing to keep us cool! We had a great time and we walked 6 miles today! Yay.. I didn't get my heart rate up at all, but I did walk 6 miles!

I snapped a few pictures of Ava right before her bath.. I was running her bath water and so I decided to get a couple of pictures of her playing... She's the cutest thing... I could just eat her up! Grandma had already started undressing Aiden and so I didn't get to get any of him lying on the bed... :(

Jenni fixed dinner for us and it was fabulous and we just relaxed the rest of the night...

I'm telling you, I will never get blue jeans back on him... after buying him this suit,,,, He has cried and whinned to wear this suit every day since I bought it... UGH... Jackson calls these his "work suspenders"... He loves to wear these too... I put these on him every morning as well.... He spends his days baptizing people, preaching, signing and praying... He will get his little chair out and kneel down and pray and raise his hands and then get up and start preaching! He's too cute....

My hubby and I spent Valentine's Day at CHICK-FIL-A with the kids.... Dawson wanted Steak and Shake and Jackson wanted CHICK-FIL-A.... We tried Steak and Shake first, but it was way too crowded... There was a line out the door... So we opted for Jackson's choice and I'm so glad we did... We got to eat with some great friends of ours! It was too funny.... We were standing in line ordering and here comes our friends.... So we ate and let the kids play and we just sat and talked...

We tried to get in two different Outbacks and they had two hour waits (nope, not doing that)... We can eat at Outback another day and not wait 2 hours! :) We checked Steak and Shake as well and we just decided it was going to be that way everywhere, so we gave up...

We plan to go out this next week for our real "Valentine's Celebration"...

This little boy loves to dress like his Daddy and Papaw.... He loves suits, white shirts, ties, suspenders, dress socks and dress shoes... He has wanted to dress this way for at least 2 years now... I've been holding off on the whole suit thing, because I'm not real big on suits for toddlers, but I waited about as long as I could.... He has a black velvet jacket and he cries to wear it every Sunday and every Wednesday... So, I had to do something... I'm so sick of seeing that jacket and hearing him cry about it.... Last night, we made a trip to T.J. Maxx and found him a SUIT! We got lucky... We bought a 4 pc set (shirt, pants, jacket and tie) for a good deal... Yay!

We left for my in-law's house around 4:45 pm and we had a wonderful dinner... My mother-in-law decided this year we would do something different... We had Beef Tenderloin instead of the "traditional christmas dinner".... Usually we are so stuffed and sick of turkey and dressing by Christmas night, so we did something else and it was soooo good....

We opened gifts (it's so much fun to watch the kids) and we were pretty excited to watch Papaw and Granny open up their gifts as well... Tammy did a photo shoot of the boys and LeAnna back a few weeks ago and the pictures were just unbelievable, so Papaw and Granny got LOTS of PICTURES!!!

We slept in today.... Dawson woke us up around 8:30 am and we let Dawson go ahead and open his presents... David finally woke Jackson up and he jumped right up to open his presents.....

About the time we were finishing up with presents... Grandma, Chuck, Jenni, Eli, Ava, and Aiden arrived.... We began fixing breakfast and Heather and Stephen arrived.... We had a very YUMMY breakfast.... and it was just nice being together!

I had to work today on Christmas Eve... I wasn't too happy about that, but I'm just thankful I have a job to work when so many others don't! I didn't get to go to Granny Mays for Christmas Eve... :(

After I got off work, I cleaned my house and made a dish to take to my mom's for our Christmas dinner at her house... Chuck and Jenni arrived not long after we did and we ate dinner and opened presents... The kids were so much fun to watch...

I did my mom's Christmas Shopping for her this year and she had one request and that was for each person to have at least one gift to open. She loves to give gifts... She hates giving money... I have to admit.. I'm a money and gift card person... I love money and gift cards... I just do... But ... It was fun having presents to open....

My Sis, Jenni had a little surprise for me this year... She's so funny... She bought me walkie talkies for next years shopping trip... She and I are some serious "Black Friday Shoppers"... We love it... I know some people think we are crazy for getting out that early in the morning, but it's fun to us and we just enjoy it.. You can really find some good deals.... Note to self.. Make sure we arrive at Walmart before 5:00 am next year - especially if it's electronics we are buying...

The Mcknight Family ( my mom's side of the family) met in Jackson , Tn for Christmas this year.... It was so nice being with family and laughing and cutting up.... I don't get to see my family too often, so it was nice to spend some time this evening celebrating Christmas and just being together....

My cousin Crystal lives in Nashville and we've decided it's dumb that we never get to see each other, so last month we decided we were going to change that! We are going to make it a priority to get together as often as we can!

This year was the first year without my Grandfather... I was a little sad, but he's so much better off and I hated him being in the nursing home... I miss my grandparents like crazy and I know I will get to see them one day and I can't wait!!!

I worked today and after work I went to the church and cleaned and then I got to keep Eli and Aiden... We had so much fun playing and doing all kinds of things! Dawson and Jackson enjoyed it too... They were such a big help to me as well! We can't wait for them to stay with us again!!!!

Black Friday....

Chuck, Jenni, Ava, Aiden, Jackson and I got up at 4:30 this morning and went shopping (we didn't want to leave all the kids with mom, so we took a few - Jackson was suppose to stay, but he woke up and wanted to go with me)... Walmart was our first stop and you couldn't even move in Wal-mart (it was crazy).... We left Walmart and went to Shoe Carnival, Target (Target was much better - more organized - I saw my buddies in Target - Pam and Phyllis), and Macy's...

This is the 2nd year that Jenni and I have gone shopping on Black Friday.. We love it! We plan to make this an annual event... We get the paper and look at the ads for hours and make our plan and we just love it! We got in bed around 12:30 am on Friday morning and then we were back up at 4:30 am… We considered going to Opry Mills at Midnight, but we didn't.. Maybe we will try that next year...

We got back to Mom's around 10:00 am and we just napped and then Dawson, Jackson, Eli and myself went to McDonalds and then to my house to get a shower and change clothes and all that stuff.... We went back to mom's and fixed dinner and ate with the family....

Stephen and Heather were so tired... They drove back from Indianapolis, In to Mcminnville, Tn and dropped their Youth Group off and then drove from Mcminnville, Tn to Ashland City to eat dinner and spend the night... Needless to say, after dinner they were out...

12. My Nieces and Nephews - I have 2 nieces (LeAnna Rachel & Ava Grace) and 2 nephews (Eli James and Aiden Alexander) and they are awesome!

13. Victory - I'm so thankful for victory in Jesus!

14. Ava and Aiden - My sister-in-law, Jenni gave birth to twins October 1 and I'm so thankful for healthy, beautiful babies in our family this year!

We had our annual Holday Market Friday November 14 and Saturday November 15... I set up a booth and I was only able to be there on Friday, so my friend, Denise watched my booth for me on Saturday (Thanks Neese).... I was very happy I set up... It was worth my time.... :) I got rid of about 4 bags of stuff and now everything is priced and bagged up, so next year it will be easy to pull out and set up....

This is Jackson on Friday evening... We had been there since 7:00 am Friday morning (or a little after 7:00 am) and he was worn out....

An ER Visit and 26 Stitches ....

This is my baby... He was smiling even though he was hurt really bad...He had a numbing agent on his head...

ewww... Looks painful....

This was after he received his stitches... He was sedated... He was so funny...

Jackson was jumping in his bed and he jumped off of a rail into his bed and hit another rail and split his head just above his eye open.... We rushed him to Vanderbilt and he received 26 stitches inside and out... He cut through 2 layers of skin and they were afraid he had cut down to the muscle... Bless his heart.. He was such a brave little boy and so funny too... Even though he was hurt, he had the doctor's and nurses laughing... This lady from Child life came in and talked to Jackson and she actually stayed while Jackson was getting his stitches and she was just awesome! We arrived at Vanderbilt around 8:00 pm and we left around 1:00 am... It took about an hour and a half to sew his head up... A very traumatic experience.... I hope we never, ever have to go back to the Emergency Room again.....

Joy took Mason and Jackson to the Sheep Farm/Pumpkin Patch on Tuesday... I was suppose to go with them and I couldn't get off work, so she stopped by and picked up Jackson and took him with them! Thanks, my friend! it was a nice quiet day while I worked! Stress free! :)

Joy brought Jackson back home and the kids played for a while and when Joy got ready to leave, Mason asked if he could stay and play..... and I said "yes"... We went and picked up Dawson and went to the grocery store and back home... We called Joy because Mason asked if he could spend the night and we called Joy to see and she said "yes!" So Jackson had his first sleep over at 3, almost 4 years old....

I figured Mason would cry at bedtime, but he did AWESOME! I kept asking him "Do you want to go home?" and he would say "NO, I'm spending the night with you!"

Mason spent the night Tuesday night and all day Wednesday with us and then we took him to church on Wednesday night and we had to "give him back".... Jackson was sad... the boys had a good time and you can tell the miss each other....

We got up and loaded the van and headed to eat breakfast.... Then, it was back to Dollywood... We stayed until closing (7:00 pm) and then we ate dinner and headed home!

We've been planning a trip since summer and it just never worked it, so we were supposed to go in September to Gatlinburg and I didn't want Dawson to miss that much school, so we just waited till Dawson was out for Fall Break! We had a good time, it just wasn't long enough...
