In loving Memory of Richard Franklin Mcknight....

I got news yesterday that my grandfather passed away around 6:30 am on Sunday morning.... I know he's much better off - even though it doesn't make it any easier.... He's not been well for the last little bit and so I thought I'd prepared myself enough, but I guess you can never really prepare yourself for death.... My heart is heavy today - he was the greatest man I've ever known... He was the only father figure I had in my life for 13 years and I have so many memories of him and my granny! He was a faithful man - he lived what he preached! He always treated my granny and our family with the utmost respect.... He got to where he would just cry and cry when we would go to see him - it was about all I could take.... So I know he's much better off! It saddens me once again, that my children will never know him they way I knew him! Jackson will never remember him..... I know he's much happier and not suffering and for that, I'm very thankful!

I'm so excited about my new bowl.... I've been looking at this bowl for a while now and I didn't want to pay full price - I got it on clearance today for $4.00..... I'm so excited!

We attended a birthday party for my friend's little boy today at Chuck E. Cheese.... I've known Kim for about 12 years now - I remember the day Jeremy was born - it's hard to believe he's already 5! Happy birthday - we love you - Jeremy!

Christmas morning.... We did things a little different this year..... We opened gifts first.... Dawson just couldn't wait..... Afterwards, we fixed a big breakfast and ate and then we all took a nap...... We had a very nice day - very relaxing - ......

Christmas Eve..... December 24, 2007

Christmas Eve... I had to work till 11:30 am and then we headed to Papa and Granny Mays' house for christmas.... We had a wonderful time and the food was absolutely wonderful! Here are some pictures from today......

After we left Granny Mays we decided to run to Target - to do some last minute shopping..... We ran to Lifeway Bookstore as well.... David, Dawson and I all bought Bibles with our christmas money we received from Papa and Granny Mays.... We went to eat supper at Logans....

Christmas Eve at Grandma's house..... We didn't have a big Christmas this year at Grandma's house..... Chuck, Jen, Eli, Steve, and Delayna didn't come in this year - My grandfather isn't doing well and so we just postponed it until later.... I took the kids up to Grandma's after we got home to open their gifts from Grandma and Heather.....

Christmas Party....

Today was Dawson's Christmas party at school..... He was so excited.... He had a half day today and then he's out till January 8! Wow... What a vacation! I wished I didn't have to go back to work till January 8! After we left Dawson's party we went to Strattons for lunch (50's restaurant in our town).... After lunch, we came home and I put Jackson and Mason down for a nap and I took a nap myself... I'm not feeling my best today....
