Bye, Bye SATH....

As of February 26, 2008... I've been with HSN (Home Shopping Network) for 1 year!!! I received a Wal-Mart giftcard in the mail ... I thought that was very nice - rewarding me for working for them for a year!

I changed my hours with HSN... I was working 6:00 am - 2:30 pm and I changed them 2 weeks ago to 5:00 am - 1:30 pm... I love my new hours... The earlier the better for me! I don't like getting up early, but I do like having half my day of working over with by 9:30 am!!!!

I've been with SATH (Shop At Home) almost 3 years.... My three year anniversary would be April 15th... Unfortunately, they are closing as of Midnight on the 8th of March..... I have mixed emotions.... On one hand, that's the place that allowed me to quit my job of 12 years and stay home with my children! On the other hand, I'm so tired of being worn out all the time! I'm kind of looking forward to focusing on one job and I'm sure it will help that I'm getting to go to bed at a decent hour... I'm not a night owl and when 9:00 pm rolls around - I'm sleepy..... SO... Working till 3:00 am has been an adjustment for me... JTV (Jewelry Television) is who currently owns SATH and they called me a few weeks ago and offered me a job with JTV..... They are currently working on some different things for their company and they are doing an internet business.. I don't know what all that entails, but I declined the position... There's no telecommuting involved and it's not going to pay enough for me to drive to Hickory Hollow and work those crazy hours... I only have one more night left to work for Shop At Home... I work Wednesday night of this week and that's it for me! I took off on Thursday - we have family coming in from out of town....

I know I've said it before, but I'm so thankful to be able to work from home and I get to be home with my children... It's such a blessing and I don't take that granted....

Jackson Making His Star....

He's good..... I think I may be a little bit partial....

What makes Jackson happy......

His first love is his pacifier.....

BUT.....

His second love... Is "his sticks" as he calls them..... He has to have 4 of them, so he can make his star!

Thank you - Dessa, for Jackson's sticks!

Very Random Blog...

My husband reads my blog every few weeks or so and last night he was reading my blog and he came and told me "he thinks my blog is very cute and he likes it!" I thought that was very sweet of him!

Mason had a rough day yesterday... He came in and he was "very sick"... I felt so sorry for him! He wanted to be held all day... So needless to say, I held the poor baby most of the day...... I guess it was a virus or something - it's the sickest I've ever seen him... I talked to Joy (his mom) this morning and he was feeling all better... Thank goodness!

David, the kids and I went by the Evances yesterday evening and hung out for a while - David helped a little bit with some different things... Their house is really cute!

On another note.... I've been thinking a lot about my children this week...... I wish I could stop time right now and keep my children the ages they are right now.... It scares me - that they are growing so fast and there's absolutely - not a thing I can do about it....

Went to lunch today with my good friend, Denise.... and... We made a trip to Target for a baby shower gift for a lady at church tomorrow as well.... Fun.... I love looking at baby stuff!

David is unloading some furniture for The Evances this evening... So.... It's just the kids and I at home tonight........ I may take the kids to see Grandma/Nana (haven't seen her in a week or so)......

Eli....

My nephew had to have tubes put in his ears on Monday... Poor baby... He didn't do well... I hope he feels better soon!
Love you, baby!

Snow Day.....

Fun in the snow..... They weren't out there long... Poor Mason came in whining and saying "his hands hurt and he needed a bandaid." Poor baby....

Fun on the trampoline....

The kids were just dying to go outside and jump on the trampoline, so I bundled them up in their coats and we went outside to jump! They only stayed out there about 5 minutes, it was just to cold.... They like to jump off the swimming pool ladder onto the trampoline.....

Oliver's Birthday Party.....

Brandon pouring out the candy...

Denise, Brayden, Miquela, Dawson, Jackson and I went to Mcminnville today for Oliver's 1st birthday party.... David and John were supposed to go with us, but they didn't get to go..... It's about a 3 hour trip there and back, and so you can imagine 6 people in a car for 1.5 hrs there and then 1.5 hrs on the way home..... Wow... Lets just say Denise and I were about looney when we got home! (ha-ha not really)... The kids were a little much at times, but we made it... Didn't we, Denise? We really had a good time today, but Denise and I decided next year... We are leaving the kids at home and we are going to the birthday party....

The birthday party was very cute... I think Oliver enjoyed his day.... He was so cute getting into his cake and opening his presents! He's such a sweet little baby boy! I can't believe he's already a year old....

Growing up.....

Dawson asked me this week... "Mom, when I take MacKayla out on our first date... How will I get to Mcminnville to pick her up?" My reply was... "We will worry about that when you get old enough to date."

SO.....

Last evening at supper this sweet girl is all Dawson talked about..... I thought at one point... "He sure is talking a lot.." He had to show pictures of her and everything... He was so funny.....

We went to dinner at Carrabba's Restaurant and then we walked around Green Hills Mall for a little while with some friends of ours from out of town... They use to live here in Nashville and they moved away almost 3 years ago... I don't get to see them as often as I'd like to, but she's very near and dear to my heart... She's just like a sister to me and I miss her bunches...

Campfire Memories.....

I think this may be our vacation spot this year.... I'm not 100% sure, but I'm about 95% sure.... After hours of searching for cabins - I found this one and I fell in LOVE! There's a couple more cabins I like as well...

We talked about going to Florida again, but David was against that.... He's not a big theme park person anymore, so that kind of rules out Disney World..... We did enjoy Sea World, but you can only go so many times and see the same shows...

We have a few small trips planned, like white water rafting again with our friends and their church people... But... This trip to Gatlinburg will be our big one for the year....

Denise, Jackson and I made a few hospital visits on Friday... We went to see Sis. Huddleston at Meharry Hospital first and then we went to visit Sis. Johnson at Baptist Hospital....

We had lunch at Jason's Deli... I've been several times and it's very "tasty" (I'll use Destry's word) :) ! I tried the pot pie soup... It was VERY YUMMY.... I love it! My mother-in-law picked up Dawson for me, so I rode with Denise to pickup Miquela and Brayden (her kids) and then we made a quick trip to Target to pickup a gift for a birthday party we attended Friday night... We went and picked up Dawson at my mother-in-law's house and then we went to Denise's and picked up John and we headed to Hendersonville to "My Gym" for the birthday party.... The birthday party was cute - the kids had a really good time...

Saturday, I worked and then we hung out at home till Saturday evening and then we took Brayden home and we cleaned the church.....

That's all my weekend consisted of....

Okay..... So I'm off to bed now.... It's 11:50 and I could have been in the bed already.... I have a full day tomorrow, Saturday and Sunday..... I do feel better since I've blogged!!!!!!!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Valentine's Day.... I did.... I got to be with my family and that's another one of my favorite things to do!!!

xoxo

Jenn

SO tired.....

Jackson got a little neglected on Wednesday..... Dawson was sick with this nasty old 24 hour flu mess and so in between working, taking care of Mason and tending to my sick 8 year old, Jackson kind of fell through the cracks (not really), but when I found him asleep in the chair with a dirty face - I felt awful........ Poor baby.....

Random Pictures....

Mason (the little boy I keep) We just love him! He's like family to us! We only have him for about 6 more months or so... His mommy is quitting work after she has her baby.... We will sure miss him.... I've had him since he was 7 months old and he will be 3 in June! We will have to make plenty of play dates that's for sure!

He's such a good boy....

What a cutie....

My little cutie!

Jackson all ready for Outreach a few Saturdays ago.... He has his cd player and football....

Dawson needed a container for his Valentine's cards he was getting from people at school, so this is about as creative as I get..... It's a shoe box and I wrapped it with wrapping paper.... It had to be homade....

Well, I thought it was time to update my blog.... I have been in a blah state and just haven't felt like doing anything with it.... I'm trying to snap out of it..... I was headed to to bed like 45 min. ago and I decided to go ahead and update it... Here are just some random pictures I had on my camera and I don't feel like doing separate posts for all these pictures...... SO... I'm lumping them all together.... Especially since I've already posted several posts..... I will try to keep up with posting on a more consistent basis from now on.... It's easy to not want to post after not posting for a while.... and I love blogging!

Happy Valentine's Day!!!

We went to eat at a restaurant we've never been to before.... It was really good..... We enjoyed ourselves with our kiddos and just enjoyed Valentine's Day as a family!
Dawson made me cry tonight.... He was coloring his little coloring book from the restaurant and on the inside of the book it asked the question: Who is your hero? He put "my mom and dad..." "Because they keep me and my brother healthy and protect us and take good care of us." He's so sweet! You know he got a prize for that one!
