Busy... busy... busy...

My last two days have been consumed by cleaning out closets, dusting my house, ironing all the clothes I've cleaned out of the closet for the Consignment Sale, pricing these items (still not done), cooking, taking care of kids, washing all linens and putting clean ones back on all the beds, loading dishwasher, unloading dishwasher, giving baths, ironing and laying out school clothes, checking homework, washing laundry, folding laundry, putting away laundry, cleaning out David's closet, cleaning out all the drawers in the boy's rooms, grocery shopping, cleaning out both of the boy's toys and taking a load of stuff to the Bethesda Center....

I've still got so much to do and I'm so very tired.... I've hardly sat down in two days....

I've got to finish pricing items for the sale, clean bathrooms, sweep, vacuum, mop, clean my part at church, Give Spencer a bath, take items to Tammy's house, Get in my Mother-in-law's attic (maybe) and see what I have up there to sale, work, finish packing and that's about all I can think of right now......

So... that's where I've been and hopefully, I will be done by Saturday with all this stuff and I can enjoy the rest of my weekend and not have to do toooo - toooo much.....

ENLIGHTENED PERSPECTIVE...

The subjects covered affect us all on a daily basis! They're written by Andy Rooney , a man who has the gift of saying so much with so few words.

I've learned.... That the best classroom in the world is at the feet of an elderly person.

I've learned.... That when you're in love, it shows.

I've learned.... That just one person saying to me, 'You've made my day!' makes my day.

I've learned.... That having a child fall asleep in your arms is one of the most peaceful feelings in the world.

I've learned.... That being kind is more important than being right.

I've learned.... That you should never say no to a gift from a child.

I've learned.... That I can always pray for someone when I don't have the strength to help him in some other way.

I've learned.... That no matter how serious your life requires you to be, everyone needs a friend to act goofy with.

I've learned.... That sometimes all a person needs is a hand to hold and a heart to understand.

I've learned.... That simple walks with my father around the block on summer nights when I was a child did wonders for me as an adult.

I've learned.... That life is like a roll of toilet paper. The closer it gets to the end, the faster it goes.

I've learned.... That we should be glad God doesn't give us everything we ask for.

I've learned.... That money doesn't buy class.I've learned.... That it's those small daily happenings that make life so spectacular.

I've learned... That under everyone's hard shell is someone who wants to be appreciated and loved.

I've learned.... That to ignore the facts does not change the facts.

I've learned.... That when you plan to get even with someone, you are only letting that person continue to hurt you.

I've learned.... That love, not time, heals all wounds.

I've learned.... That the easiest way for me to grow as a person is to surround myself with people smarter than I am.

I've learned.... That everyone you meet deserves to be greeted with a smile.

I've learned.... That no one is perfect until you fall in love with them.

I've learned... That life is tough, but I'm tougher .

I've learned.... That opportunities are never lost; someone will take the ones you miss.

I've learned.... That when you harbor bitterness, happiness will dock elsewhere.

I've learned.... That I wish I could have told my Dad that I love him one more time before he passed away.

I've learned.... That one should keep his words both soft and tender, because tomorrow he may have to eat them.

I've learned.... That a smile is an inexpensive way to improve your looks.

I've learned.... That when your newly born child holds your little finger in his little fist, that you're hooked for life.

I've learned.... That everyone wants to live on top of the mountain, but all the happiness and growth occurs while you're climbing it.

I've learned.... That the less time I have to work with, the more things I get done.
The glory of friendship is not the outstretched hand, nor the kindly smile, nor the joy of companionship; it is the spiritual inspiration that comes to one when you discover that someone else believes in you and is willing to trust you with a friendship.

My sister-in-law's due date is October 12 and she should have them by October 1, so she really isn't that early at all... Especially to be having twins...

Wednesday September 17, 2008 - Playdate...

They were so cute playing.... Joy pushing the boys while I'm holding Madison!
Jackson loves the lawn mower....
Jackson and Mason playing on the lawn mower...
Joy called to see if we wanted to meet her at the park today after I got off work... We did... and I got to hold baby Madison for about an hour... She's so sweet and beautiful! aaaahh... adorable!
-
Mason went home with us and spent the rest of the afternoon with us and then we went to church! Jackson and Mason didn't argue one time today.. I think they missed each other because they played so well together and they kept hugging on each other - they were so sweet!

Saturday September 13, 2008 - Do We Have To Leave??? One More Day, PLEASE...

Apple Barn The guy at the Fudgery... He put on a great show!
The girls were great too!
Sis. Pam, Sis. Janet, Denise and I stayed up until 4:30 am laughing and playing Phase 10... We had the best time.... We got up on Saturday and went to eat at the Apple Barn and then we went to the outlets for some last minute shopping... Denise and I took our ladies to the Fudgery and they put on a fabulous show for us! We had the best time in there... This weekend definately ranks on my top 10 best weekends ever! We had a blast....

We met Bro. Hart and picked up the kids and then we headed home... David and I went to eat dinner with my inlaws and then we cleaned the church and it was home to sleep in my BED! I missed my husband and children very much, but I sure had a good time! I'm glad I got to go!

Friday September 12, 2008 - Gas is on the RISE...

Wow... Gas went up while in Pigeon Forge.... Yikes....

Denise and I got up early today to sit outside on the porch and swing and enjoy the view... It was very nice and very relaxing.... We went to church and it was awesome! Again, very much needed.... I know for me and my bud, we needed it! After service, we went to eat with my sis and our friends from Mcminnville, Tn...

Denise and I ran to the Fudgery and then to our cabin.... We hung out all afternoon with our ladies and then back to church that night for another wonderful service!

The highlights from my trip are: getting away with one of my bestest buds and connecting with our ladies from church (we had a blast - you ladies rock!), Seeing one of my oldest and dearest friends - Angie, Seeing my Aunt Roxann (love her - she's precious and I look up to her very much) and seeing my dear sister in-law, Delayna (love you)... and getting to eat lunch with my friends from Mcminnville, Tn and my sister too, and last but not least... Getting a few days off without having to do anything or take care of anyone but MYSELF! It was very much needed and I will post about the services at a later date.... It was awesome! Thank you, Jesus for knowing what I needed!

A special thanks to Papaw for watching Jackson and picking up Dawson from school for me, so I could attend the Ladies Conference! Thank you David for taking such good care of the kids at night!!!

Cabins near us...

Denise, Brayden, Miquela and I left about 8:00 am this morning for Pigeon Forge... We met Sis. Hart (Denise's mom) right off the exit and ate lunch with her and she took Brayden and Miquela (Denise's kids) from there....
-
We met up with our Ladies from our church and we shopped for a while and then we were able to check in our cabin... We got ready for church and had to be there by 6:30 pm... Service was awesome! Much needed and most of us, all we could do was cry the whole service....
-
After service, we went to eat at IHOP and then it was back to the cabin to get in the hot tub with our new friends: Sis. Skipper and Sis. Hook (inside joke - what happens in pigeon forge stays in Pigeon Forge).
