Thursday November 22, 2007 - Happy Thanksgiving....

I got up early on Thanksgiving to take a shower and get ready for church..... I was up before the rest of the crew got up, so I just meditated on all the things I'm thankful for on Thanksgiving Day and how God has blessed me! God has been so good to me and my family.... I've been blessed with a wonderful family.... I thanked God for a healthy family! My kids are healthy and my husband and I are healthy! I'm thankful for "all" of our family and for a home, my vehicle and food on my table and for our friends! I'm thankful for a wonderful job that allows me to stay home with my babies! I'm thankful that God is always there - "He will never leave us or forsake us" and I'm thankful for that as well... It was so nice having some time to myself to meditate on these things without any interruptions.....

Bro. Snowden preached the service on Thursday morning at 11:00 am... He did an OUTSTANDING JOB! He rocked the house! It was the best I've ever heard him! We were all there to support him! We've been friends with Bro. and Sis. Snowden going on 10 years almost.... We have "lots" of memories together! They are some of our closest friends and we love them and Oliver Maxwell dearly!

Next up was Thanksgiving dinner at Tammy and Nathan's house..... We were suppose to be there by 1:00 pm and we were a little late arriving..... Service went on a little longer than expected.... The food was fabulous and the house was beautiful! Tammy had everything decorated.... It was just gorgeous! The spread of food was unbelievable! It was a wonderful Thanksgiving and it was absolutely the best meal I've ever put in my mouth! We stayed for a while and then we rushed back to the hotel to get ready for church.....

The highlight of my evening was when I got to see my "bestest best friend ever": Karen (Gardner) Kelley and the whole Gardner family.... I was so excited! She and I were best friends our whole teenage years and even after we each got married..... The Gardner family is so dear and near to my heart! I love them all! They are like my 2ND family! Karen and I were always together... She was either at my house or I was going to hers! She helped me through some of the roughest times of my life! Karen, I want you to know I love you and I treasure our friendship! You're the best!

Dawson didn't get to see Makayla tonight... Josiah wasn't feeling well, so Chrissy, Makayla and Josiah stayed home.....

After church we went to eat at this place called Stax in Opryland Hotel... It was pretty good... We went to eat with my mom, Chuck, Jenn, Eli, David, me and the kids. Dawson decided to go home with Grandma, so they left and we went back to our room and I put Jackson to bed and I went down to Chuck and Jenn's room and Jenn and I looked at all the sales ads in the paper and made a list of the places and items we wanted.... It was around 2:30am when I got in the bed....... Very tired!
