I got news yesterday that my grandfather passed away around 6:30 am on Sunday morning.... I know he's much better off - even though it doesn't make it any easier.... He's not been well for the last little bit and so I thought I'd prepared myself enough, but I guess you can never really prepare yourself for death.... My heart is heavy today - he was the greatest man I've ever known... He was the only father figure I had in my life for 13 years and I have so many memories of him and my granny! He was a faithful man - he lived what he preached! He always treated my granny and our family with the utmost respect.... He got to where he would just cry and cry when we would go to see him - it was about all I could take.... So I know he's much better off! It saddens me once again, that my children will never know him they way I knew him! Jackson will never remember him..... I know he's much happier and not suffering and for that, I'm very thankful!

You probably don't know me but my Grandfather, Arbin and Uncle Richard are brothers.
I just wanted you to know, I really appreciate you posting the article and photos. I'm smiling and crying Strolling down memory lane.
I'm sorry for your loss. The world has lost one of the best men that ever lived. I truly love Uncle Richard and Aunt Flora and will miss them always.
