I was able to attend Dawson's Award Program today.... He was so very happy I was able to attend..... Thanks to wonderful static on my phone line, I was only able to work for about an hour before I called in to our Command Center and I let them hear the static on my line and Lorraine gladly told me to take off the rest of the day! Woo-hoo!

There was an Awards Program for the whole school in the gym at 9:00 am and then they separated each grade and gave out their class awards in the hallways... This is something new they've started this year, so parents can leave as soon as their children have their award(s) and they don't have to sit there in the gym forever waiting....

Dawson received an A/B Honor Roll Award, he received an Academic Excellence award in Spelling and Social Studies, and he also received an award for Field Day.... He received a Walking Works for Schools Award as well (everyone received one of these if they participated). We are so very proud of him... He's very smart and he proves that every year!

Today was a whole day, but they let us take the kids and it didn't count against them, so I did just that..... I took the kids to Mickie D's and let them play and then it was home!

School is officially over with for the YEAR! YAY!
